Virtual Nutrition Therapy

During the free phone consultation you can ask questions and tell me more about yourself so that we can see if Nourished With Care is a good fit for you and your nutrition needs. You can also schedule your initial assessment during this time.


Initial Assessment                                    1 hour                                                     $175*

During the initial assessment we will discuss your dieting, exercise, and medical history. We will discuss your nutrition concerns, goals, and your treatment plan.

Follow-Up Appointment                        30 minutes                                                $70**

During follow-up appointments, we may discuss progress on previous goals, new or additional concerns, intuitive eating principles, body image, nutrition education, setting future goals, and any other relevant topics.

Professional Supervision

1 Hour                                                                                                                          $140

Billing and Payment Information

Payment is required at the time of service.


Nourished With Care accepts all major credit cards and health savings account (HSA) cards.


It is the client's responsibility to verify coverage and benefits if billing through their insurance provider.


A superbill can be provided if Nourished With Care is not in network with your insurance provider. This does not guarantee that you will receive reimbursement from your insurance company.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time or not showing up for scheduled appointment time may result in being charged for the entire appointment time. 

What Questions Should I Ask my Insurance Company when Verifying my Benefits?

  • Do I have nutrition counseling coverage on my insurance plan? 
    • If the insurance asks for a CPT code, provide them with 97802 and 97803.  If they say you don't have coverage with those codes, ask them about CPT codes: 99401, 99402, 99403, and 99404.  
  • Will my diagnosis be covered? 
    • If the insurance asks for a diagnosis code, ask about diagnosis code Z71.3 or Z72.4.  
    • If you have an eating disorder, ask the insurance about your specific eating disorder diagnosis in addition to the Z71.3 and Z72.4
      • Anorexia, restricting type: F50.01
      • Anorexia, binge eating/purging type: F50.02
      • Bulimia: F50.2
      • OSFED (atypical anorexia or bulimia): F50.89
      • ARFID (avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder): F50.82
      • Binge eating disorder: F50.81
  • How many visits do I have per calendar year? 
    • Depending on the insurance plan, the number of visits may vary from 0 to unlimited
  • Do I need to meet my deductible before insurance will cover outpatient nutrition services? 
  • Do I have a co-pay for nutrition counseling?
